Discuss content with comments and mentions

Keep feedback and supporting references alongside the draft.

Add context to the conversation

Open the content item’s discussion area and write your comment. Use the available attachment and reference controls to include supporting material, then submit the comment.

Keep the feedback specific: identify the part of the content that needs attention and describe the change you want. Saving a comment and saving edits to the content are separate actions.

Mention a teammate

Use @ to search for a teammate in the comment composer and select the intended person. This associates the comment with the selected team member.

A teammate mention in a discussion is different from a LinkedIn profile mention in the post copy. It does not tag anyone on LinkedIn or change their workspace role.

Make the next workflow step explicit

If the content needs revisions, use the request-changes action when your role allows it. For final approval, use the approval action. A comment saying “approved” is not a substitute for recording the workflow decision.

If the discussion or review controls are unavailable, check your role and whether you are assigned as a collaborator. Email delivery also depends on each person’s notification preferences.
