Restore an earlier content version

Use version history to recover saved work while preserving the current version.

Open version history

  1. Open the content item with an editing role.
  2. Open More post options and choose Version history.
  3. Review the available recovery points, their times, and content previews.

Restore a recovery point

Choose Restore for the version you want and wait for the operation to finish. Restoring an earlier version also preserves the current version as a recovery point.

Review the restored content before continuing work or requesting approval. Restoring in Pyroplane does not change anything already published on an external platform.

If there are no earlier versions

Recovery points are saved once per editing session, rather than for every keystroke. The dialog may say that an earlier version will appear after the next edit is saved.

If history cannot be loaded, use the retry control and check the displayed error. Keep a copy of unsaved text before troubleshooting a save or reloading the page.
