Write a LinkedIn post with First Draft

Set up a category’s writing style and generate a draft to review.

Set up the category

  1. Open team settings → First Draft.
  2. Choose the content category you want to set up.
  3. Provide three to five sample posts using text and, where useful, images.
  4. Add custom writing instructions if needed and complete the training flow.

Generate and review

First Draft is available in the LinkedIn composer. Choose the appropriate category and provide the context for your post, then use First Draft to generate copy.

Review the preview before using the text. Check scientific claims, names, numbers, references, and tone against your own source material. Generated text is a starting point and still needs your team’s review.

Improve the writing style

Return to the category’s First Draft settings to retrain with better examples or update custom instructions. Instructions can be up to 1,000 characters.

Trial usage has generation and trained-category limits. If you reach a limit, follow the message shown in the app or ask your team owner to review the subscription.
